BourbonDude
This is probably my sixth or seventh encounter with this particular gin. And I’ve warmed up to it a bit. Named after the famous hotel in Victoria, British Columbia (which I’ve visited many times over the years), this is, overall, a very traditional but tasty gin. Juniper, coriander, and grapefruit citrus stand out both in the nose and pallet, with some nice added ginger on the pallet as well. You just have to get past the striking lavender color, derived from pea flower. If you’re a gin fan or just curious, give it a try next time you’re at a bar that offers it.
