So I found this 1945 Old Grand Dad bottle at an antique store in Springfield IL. It was empty, but had a green tax strip and its the bonded version. The labels are readable and in decent shape with very little fading and no missing or torn spots. The cap is in good shape with a full cork in good condition. Anyone know an estimated value? I wouldn't sell it, but just curious what it's worth. Thanks all!

I would say to see if anything similar is on Ebay.

That's been my strategy with the Jim Beam decanters when they turn up.

Given we're talking about an empty - it's all legal and transparent.

I did try ebay, but couldn't find the same one. They have a 1 L for 100$ but mine is the 3/4. At the end of the day its worth what it's worth to me since I im just keeping it. I was just curious. I only paid 35$ which i was happy with.
