CaptTim
Back to work this week after being off since the end of June with hand/thumb surgery not really happy about it. I am ready to retire. A couple of fingers of KC 9 will help.

RT Fan
No parental supervision this evening as the wife had to go to the city for work. So therefore Knob Creek was called upon after a long day of rain. Looks like this bottle will end up in the “empty bottle support group thread” shortly.

Once and a while I could even play good...lol

Smoked with some oak, has really mellowed out the front.

I was a 13 but am trending towards a 20 nowadays. Still love it.

Shizzy
I’m a WT fanboy, so take this with a grain of salt. Best bourbon I’ve ever had. Drinks like a freight train disguised as an ice cream truck.

I like it at least as well as the Small Batch Select, and it is less expensive. Currently sipping on a glass of FRSB, smoked with cherry wood. It is a smooth combination for sure.

Our 35th wedding anniversary is Monday but we started the celebration today. Went to one of the top restaurants in the Indy area with my wife, best man, his wife, maid of honor, her husband and my youngest son. We even allowed a local news celebrity to join us but we made her sit at the table next to ours. I paid for the wine for the night but my best man said all bourbon pours were on him. I am never one to take advantage of a friend so I was looking at KC9 until I saw they had HMcK10 for only $1 per pour. That was my pour. It was an excellent choice, or two, or three. My friend opted for KC9. He wanted a little more oak. The pours of HMcK10 were generous from the start but appeared to be more generous with each pour as it was obvious we were going to pop some $$$ tonight. Sometimes atmosphere dictates perception but the pours of HMcK10 were stellar. I would love to have a bottle for home, even if just to remember this evening. Bourbon + Friends + Atmosphere = Awesome. Home now and enjoying a couple of decent pours of New Riff. The HMcK10 was stellar but the New Riff is really hitting it as well. Tomorrow we hit it with my oldest son and his girlfriend. Then I am off work on Monday, my actual anniversary. I see a lot more nice meals, family and friends, and bourbon over the next few days. A little late to the party. Happy 35th to you and the Mrs.

When I was younger, I used to do yard work first thing in the morning so I could shower after. Now I do it late in the afternoon so I can have a much-needed drink after. A running joke in my house is that when I am in pain I say I need some ice for my back. Preferably with a couple ounces of bourbon over it.
