Working on pour of the CU 1-3 again tonight.  I might be in a rut but it is a fine rut.

Binny’s ps BT in the glass tonight. This is different, but in a good way. It’s a bit more spicy than regular BT. Definite notes of red hots/cinnamon with some oak and smoke added for good measure. Joe and Pat done good.  👍 😎

A pre-dinner pour of a 2022 MM Master Distillers Selection.  A great bottle that cannot be replaced.

Started with a GW4G. (props to Frank & Anwalt for that)

Now, doing a Ben Holladay. This is my 3rd pour from this newly acquired bottle & I must say, "I Am Impressed!" A damn shame that I picked this up at TW. I don't think I will see it at the local LS's.

I’ve been sitting out front enjoying the neighborhood brighten with Christmas lights with a GBS selected Elmer T.

Yup! Thanks for helping with the logistics. Hope all is well, and hope to share another cocktail when we're down your way.

I've had a few pours from other Barrell batches, but this is the first one I've bought. There's quite a bit going on in this, and I'm a fan.

Barrell is consistently excellent. And their prices have not gone up.

Got up early (for me) today circa 8AM so I could do indoor and outdoor chores before the Army-Navy game march-on started at Noon (USPS run, trash/recycle removal, porch furniture covered before Sunday rains, golf cart covered and plugged in to the charger, leaves blown around so it looks like I "cleaned up" the yard, etc.).  Got most done before Noon, and did the rest after the march-on finished at 1:30pm and before the game started at 3PM.  Settled into my Laz-y-Boy by kickoff with OE 7yr 101 by my right hand.  I still have about two inches in the 750.  I sure hope it lasts through the fourth quarter.

I sure hope I notice when the game is over.  I'd hate to just sit here through dinner.

Weller 12yr.  It's weird that we have to somehow vouch for how good this whiskey is, because its gets crapped on by new enthusiasts that have unrealistic expectations about a 35 dollar bourbon.

"There's quite a bit going on in this"

This is why I'm fan of Barrell bourbons.  Many (most?) of their batches are like that.

Those clowns probably paid a lot more than $35 from some flipper that hyped it up crazy.

At that point, a genie could have come out of the bottle and granted three wishes, and that wouldn't have been good enough.

W12 at MSRP - I'm all in.  I used to buy multiples, had an opened one in the cabinet often (when I could keep from pecking away at it).

I’m on a quail hunting trip in GA the next few days and brought some good bourbon and a rum for everyone to enjoy.

Nice! I'll be curious as to feedback on Black Saddle. I have a client who swears by it every time we talk.

It’s definitely worth picking up a bottle. Nothing wow, but a good low proof sipper.
