I took my 2nd hit of WRDO (a full shot, neat, in a Glenn Carin glass).  I actually liked it...  perhaps even better than regular WR.  Certainly different than BT, but just as enjoyable.  I'm starting to get the aromas down, but we'll keep at it.

Bought this one several years ago, right before it disappeared for good.

Still has that lovely spearmint-ish profile going on that I remember.

Good Stuff!

I have one of those OF 1.75's stored away as well. After seeing this post it might not be so safe!

Opened this tonight. Haven't had one of those in quite some time.

A Father’s Day gift from one of my fabulous kids. Just one bottle in this picture opened so far. I’ll get around to opening the others sooner or later.

I think it contains antifreeze.....😂

No joke, several years ago it was pulled from the shelves in Europe when they discovered the level of propylene glycol it contained.  It had to be reformulated for that market.  I can't recall if the newer version has none, or much less.

After I discovered HH discontinued this, I was on a mission to visit liquor stores in some of Indianapolis most shady neighborhoods, collecting what they had left.  That was some of my last true dusty hunting.

It does not contain, “anti-freeze”, as commonly understood by most of us.  Propylene glycol is safely used in food, medicine, and other products throughout the world.  Simply, some Europeans markets have different “acceptable” level percentages of it as compared to other markets, including the US.  This is one of those weird false narratives that continues to be promoted, for some reason.

Propylene glycol is indeed in many products.  I suffered for years until an allergy doctor in Columbus, IN determined I was allergic to propylene glycol.  He discovered this by putting different chemicals on my back, and seeing what caused a reaction on my skin.  Knowing that I'm allergic to that has really improved my life.  Any products that have propylene glycol I avoid.  If I'm exposed to it, the results look like poison ivy.  I'll add, when my son was a baby, he broke out in a rash after a bath.  My wife and I looked at the soap we used for him and it contained propylene glycol.  We changed to a different soap without that and never another rash.

Sorry to hear that PG causes you issues.  I’m allergic to cats.  I touch a cat and then touch my eyes, and it gets ugly.

Ha!  Not the cat.  He’s laughing his ass off while I’m at urgent care!  But then, they wouldn’t be cats if they didn’t enjoy my misery!  🤣🤣

Cracked a couple of top ten pours of my life over the last couple of weekends.  We're terrible at describing things, but notes are below as written at the time.

WFE - Nose: Brown sugar, proof, extremely bold.  Palate: Sweet molasses, spice, citrus/orange peel.

HH18 - Nose: Caramel, whipped cream, so much oak.  Palate: Vanilla, caramel, so much oak, burned brown sugar.

That whipped cream is a great note for the HH18 and I completely agree with it.

Pulled a rando from the bunker. I dont actively collect PHC, but I’ve gotten a few over the years. Not usually a fan of anything finished, or orange flavors in brown liquid, but this one is surprisingly good, definitely exceeds my expectations

Loving that Carpano Antica!  I always cringe at the price, but it's top shelf sweet vermouth in my book.

That is one of a few drinks my wife will indulge in.  I squirreled away 6+ bottles when everyone was hating on it and it was selling cheap.

The PHC I opened last night isn’t a daily for me, so I moved on to something within reach in my main cabinet, a sure thing…a muled bottle from a friend traveling from Japan.
