Clearing out some empties, again...it's odd how frequently this seems to happen.

How was the LS&B? I just passed on some at reasonable prices, the reviews were consistently "meh".

The vatted is just ok. I probably won't be buying another. However the age stated lsbs are fantastic.

We had family over today and much bourbon was enjoyed and we finished this one today. It was very good.

Three more for the bin.  I have a backup bottle of all of these (unfortunately, in the case of the Hancock.  I purchased that one in 2016 out of curiosity but it's very meh for the price).

But I really like the CYPB and the Sag 8.

As usual, lots of nice stuff getting posted here.

Here's my contribution. Just some good basic stuff. The ER10 is a big boy.

Managed to get a day off from work today and finished 2 bottles with barely anything left. Weller 12 and Makers 101 will make noise hitting the big green in the morning!

this was a bottle from the first batch of 1910 that was made. I hope the next one up from a recent batch is just as good.

I usually avoid celebrity bourbons but this was being cleared out at K&L for $9.99.  It's a cask strength blend of KY and TN bourbons; NAS.  Msrp was $60.  I thought how bad could it be so I bought three.  It was a lot better than I expected.  Nice spice, oak, fruit and caramel on the nose and palate.  I wouldn't buy it again at $60, but if you see this at a good discount, it's worth a try, IMO.

The (in?)famous Russell's Reserve 10yr.  MM/E17 laser code.  Definitely bolder flavors than typical RR10 but not worth the hype, IMO.  Great nose and front palate but the somewhat astringent finish (probably from the older barrels) detracts.  I'm not planning to replace it, which would probably be impossible at this point anyway.

A pre-Christmas thinning out of the low-fill level herd has these bottles on their way to the curb this week.  Nothing new amongst them, but some old favorites.

The HMcK10 is a regular on my bar, and I thoroughly enjoy most bottles. (As some on this board have noted, there is some variability with this single barrel product. Far more hits than misses, however, in my experience.) The Rebel 10 always satisfies. It confounds me that there are not more options in the well-aged wheater category, but I'm glad that this is available (albeit notably more expensive than a few years ago). No need to say much on the ER10, as I know that it is widely appreciated here on SB for what it brings to the table. It's slightly more available now than in the recent past, but still not what I would call easy to find. (My wife is particularly fond of this one, so it's got that going for it, too!) The OF1910 is one that I only have a hankering for occasionally, but it really hits the spot when I'm looking for that double-barrel profile. Finally, my last ETL is now, sadly, a goner. I've been nursing that one for a few years. I do have to say, though, that there really is nothing exceptional about the whiskey in the bottle. Very good, but not great. But, it did provide some good memories of past days.

Garbage day. Bottles previously posted about are in the brown bin now at our curb.

So you're "recycling" your post in the recycle bin thread? 🤔😜😃

This K&L store pick was a hitter!  It blew away a freshly opened Russell's Reserve SiB store pick.  Interesting mashbill of 51% corn, 39% rye, 10% malted rye.  Not at all a spice bomb though.  Just very rich, sweet and fruity.

Finished off my last bottle of EJC 18yr single barrel. Purchased for $38, just after the price hike to $120 was announced. Around 2012ish.
