Richnimrod
Had a couple very satisfying pours of OGD BiB while playing cards yesterday. Always a good choice!
kcgumbohead
Opened a new 4RSB, this one from the Brent Elliot era according to the necktag but several years ago purchased so its got the old labels. I shall enjoy every pour from this one, they picked well!!

Anwalt
Visiting a friend on Vieques. He's from Tennessee, so we sometimes try and correct for that. ECBP is C922, a very good one in my opinion. They really went at the EHT, as one can see from the bottle level.

markandrex
Working on a MM decanter with two pours of RC6 left in it. No complaints, I just need to refill with a MMCS.
Jazzhead
John J. Bowman has quit my corner of the world, but Bowman Bros scratches that itch for just 32 bucks, with enough left over for a pizza and a six of Yuengling.

smokinjoe
WT Kentucky Spirit before dinner. Our carefully curated cuisine being…frozen Home Run Inn pizza from the local Publix. This has turned into our fave frozen pizza. The crust is really good. And, so is this WTKS!

Anwalt
JD 10. Then ECBP C922. I like the latter way more, though the former isn't bad at all.
markandrex
Out in the yard most of the day. Lawn work and some mower service. WSR in the glass after some pork chops on the grill.
mbroo5880i
HH7 while sitting on the deck on a nice summer evening listening to music. I brought work home for the weekend but it will have to wait until tomorrow, or Sunday, or Monday. I have good intentions. We will see how that works out.
MM818
Visited with this bottle a couple times this week. It’s been passed over for last several months. I’m not sure why as this is really good juice. Layer on top of layer of flavor. Disco 7.

I know I’m in the minority, but I just love WTKS. I know, I know, all of the RRSiB fans will say, RRSiB is a better value, better whiskey. I understand this and I have consumed and fully enjoyed many RRSiB bottles. However, I think Kentucky Spirit is just a singular Wild Turkey expression. You can just feel Jimmy’s hand and presence on this brand with every sip. Cheers

Cheers I think WTKS is oakier and usually has a nice thick body to it. Especially for the proof. It depends on what you prefer.

To me, the only advantage RRSiB has over WTKS is non chill filtering. The difference in proof of 110 vs 101 is negligible IMO. It really is high time that WT makes Kentucky Spirit NCF. It's a premium priced product and needs this.
mbroo5880i
More HH7 tonight. Still did no "work" work today. This is one of those bourbons that I rejected out of hand because I was disappointed when the 6 year old version disappeared only to return with an additional year of age for triple the price. Now I try to keep a bottle on hand. I like it much better than I recall liking the HH6 BIB.

I always compared WTRB and RRSiB. I have yet to buy a bottle of WTKS since they moved away from the fantail bottle. However, I am a Cheap Bastard so I normally buy WT101 or WTRB, when I can get it for around $40. I have been hearing good things about recent WTKS so a bottle may end up in my shopping cart soon. I would love to see WTKS NCF.
Richnimrod
I eased the last hefty pour from a bottle of Evan Williams Black Label over a small cube and enjoyed it quite a lot. This particular bottle was one I'd "juiced up" when it was about half empty, by adding the last ounce or so of Elijah Craig Old Fashioned mix that I didn't want to save, along with about 12-dashes of Angostura bitters and 4-dashes of Regan's Orange bitters. So, when poured neat or over a small cube, I wind up with a truly-mediocre-but-quick Old Fashioned. I actually like it pretty well, though it would never pass muster if being judged as a cocktail.
