Thx for this.  In addition to Nancy’s contributions here, I was impressed by some industry reactions to her name.  While picking up  a limited release at BT’s A.Smith Bowman Distillery in Fredericksburg, Va., one of the blenders asked me what it was that drew me to the LE.  I responded, “ A blogger I know mentioned what to look for.”  Asked, “Blogger?”  ANS from me, “Yeah, on straight bourbon.com. A fellow blogger named Nancy said . . .” Interruption by the local blender: “Nancy the nose?  What a gem she is.”

 

That’s happened at least two other times with other releases at other distilleries or specialty purveyors.  That I recall.
