markandrex
A friend of mine came by today with these. He said they were from his boss (DC politician) that had come with him to the billiard party. I told him that the bourbon was only for game bets but he said his boss wanted to make certain he was included in any future guest list. Good enough. Supposedly a blend of Indiana (MGP), KY (unspecified) and their own wheated pot still distillate The Black Hills lore is complete BS. A Preservation Distillery product from Bardstown.

I have a bottle of this that I bought, out of curiosity, last year from K&L for $80. Supposedly about half of msrp. Haven't opened it yet but I think I will tonight. I skipped the oesk bottle because I have so many of that recipe already at barrel proof. I recently purchased an OESO bottle and it is going quickly. Will have to restock soon. So good. Cheers!

I appreciate the feedback on that one. I got one in spite of Mr. Fred reallllllly pushing it. Curious to try it once it makes its way down here to PR.

I think it is quality value if you enjoy Stagg Jr, but don't want to pay $200 resale.

LW25
Don't have a photo but I picked up a Bardstown Discovery #10 last week for $100. In my area, all I ever see is #8 and #9. Saw a #10 in the wild exactly once (museum store). Never seen an 11 or 12.

It's 7-8 years I think since that started?

At least $60 every time I see it. However, I get to MI frequently to visit family and they are flush with it. I see it every where. Prost!! My great great aunt would drink that while playing poker and smoking a cigar. It seems like most of the drinking by adults in my family in the seventies involved Cutty Sark, Seagrams, and Canadian Club. I don't recall seeing straight whiskey. As a teen, I always explored their bars.
