This recently showed up locally, and I've been drinking some over the last week or so. Medium copper color, fairly complex aromas --- hints floral, stewed fruit, sherry, oak/vanilla, mothballs/attic. In terms of taste, very nicely balanced and smooth, bit sherry, fruit, light smoke and peat, oak/spiciness is noticeable but integrated. Medium finish.

Overall, I liked this quite a bit, as much as the Glenlivet 18 and much more than the 12 YO French Oak (which I find too dry and overtly oaky). Bottled at 40% abv, which seemed just right for drinking neat. At $45, not a super bargain but not unreasonably priced.

Cheers,

John
