Newbie introduction

Wanted to take a minute to say Hi. Just found the forum and figured I'd join with the intention of learning something. I've recently acquired (acknowledged) a taste for bourbon. Having tried only 5 or 6 my current favorite is probably Baker's.

Now that I've acknowledged my fascination with bourbon I'm tentatively making plans to visit Kentucky this fall. Plan to ride the motorcycle up from Georgia and would like to visit a number of the distilleries as well as tour some of the more scenic roads along the way. Any information (informative tours, taste tests, etc.) would be greatly appreciated.

Try to time your time to also attend the KY Bourbon Festival which is Sept. 14-18. You can also look in the distillery trips section for information.

Welcome aboard! When you come up to Kentucky, please feel free to stop by some of the wonderful distilleries in Bardstown and here in Frankfort. I invite you to visit us, at least in a virtual sense, by going to www.buffalotrace.com. Go to the distillery cams to see what is happening around here (you will probably see everyone goofing off!).
