tmas
I am new at the fine points surrounding different distilleries and such, but I was wondering, the ORVW that is currently in liquor stores such as the 10 yr. 107 proof, is it true that it all comes from the Stitzel-Weller distillery because the BT stock ORVW has not yet begun to be marketed? Thanks for any info!
wadewood
I know it has been discussed here before; I believe the consensus is the 10 YO version is no longer Stitzel-Weller product and this was a recent change. The other, older Van Winkle products are still Stitzel whiskey.
wadewood
Found a quote frrom Julian Van Winkle confirming this in another post:"We just started using Bernheim for our 10-year last spring since SW did indeed quit in spring, 1992.VW 12, 15 20 & 23 are still SW."
