bourbon fest black tie gala

My wife and I would like to attend this event. Only one problem, Our beautiful 15 month old daughter sara. I know that other people that go to this have kids, so what do you guys do? Is there day care at the event or somewhere nearby? Any help would be great.

Go back and read some of the threads about last year's festival. Lots of comments about the various activities.....but no answer to your question. Most SB'ers don't go to the Gala.....not that it isn't fun, but requires a tux and is mostly attended by the locals and industry folks.

I always attend the gala. Patty loves to go and its a fair exchange for draggin her around Bardstown for 5 days. I'm sure child care can be arranged. One of the locals, Bobby or Bettye Jo can probably refer to a reliable baby sitter. (One that might be a relative even)

I'm going to call the Bourbon Festival office and see if there's a way to get all of us at one table or at least nearby. There's about 1300 attendees, so you might not run into companions without considerable effort.

Thanks for the effort. It would be nice to have reliable care as anything less will cause us not to attend. I would love to be at your table. I just need to know about care soon so I can order the tickets.

I also attend the Gala. I already have my tickets arranged so I will not be sitting with you guys. Pepcycle will testify that it shouldn't be hard to find me.

If you should decide to go to the gala, request to be put at or near the Straightbourbon.com table. There are eight to a table, so it looks like Turbo, Gillman and the Phalens make six. To the best of my knowledge, tickets have not been shipped yet, so you can call and ask even if you've already sent in your order.

Mary Ann (sp?) is the key person to speak to.
