The rye we are bottling now, series "G", was tanked at 19-years. Last year's "F" series is the same whiskey.

Do the letter/number codes on ALL the van winkle bottlings have a similar meanings?

I recently fininshed an Old Rip Van Winkle 107 proof, 10 summers old, toast.gif which has T3481 apparently hand-written on the front. As T is the 20th letter of our alphabet, has ORVW 10/107 been bottled every year since about 1986?

And what exactly does the number (is this bottle 3481 out of X thousand bottles)?? confused.gif

No, the letters on the 10-year 107 proof ORVW mean nothing as far as when it was bottled.

The bottling of 23-year Pappy in December will have an "A" before the number which will represent the 2005 bottling.
