nysquire Posted January 11, 2006 Share Posted January 11, 2006 4 cups popcorn lightly salted1 cup packed light brown sugar1/2 cup butter or margarine (1 stick)1/2 cup light corn syrup1/2tspn vanilla1/2tspn baking soda1 to 1/1/2 shots GOOD BourbonVanWinkle Lot"B"is nice. Rowen's Creek for more wood flavor.In a saucepan combine sugar, butter and corn syrup.Bring to a boil and continue for 5 min.At the end pull from the heat and add the vanillaand Bourbon.back to a boil for a minute.Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda.Pour mixture over the popcorn/nuts and stir well.spread a cookie sheet with parchment paper.At this point you can eat it when it cools (this is what we end up doing) or bake at 250 deg for 1/2 hour.
