jimibourbonhammered
50 dollars is about the going rate when the Wild Turkey 12 can be found. As Tim advised me some time ago about this bourbon, "Buy them all!" You won't be disappointed, and if you are, you will always be able to find someone who will want them.Whereabouts in Arkansas are you? I grew up in Fayetteville.Best.-MikeI'm halfway between Texarkana and nowhere really. I do lots of traveling to find rare bottles, dry county and all, you know. Thanks for the heads up on the WT12yo, guys, I'll pick it up next go around, then I'll pass the location on to anyone interested.

The movie was filmed downtown, the scene where they load up the beer, anyway.
ThomasH
My parents got me bottles of Evan Williams white BIB, Old bourbon Hollow BIB and Copper Fox malt while stopping to get gas in Virginia. They are on the way to Myrtle Beach and more bottle hunting!Thomas
Joeluka
I picked up my Rittenhouse 21. Can't wait to open it. I also picked up a Vya sweet vermouth, a Fee's peach bitters, and a traditional english mead.
jtn
I lucked into a bottle of the BTEC Firebox last night. The guy at the store said it had been spoken for, but that the other person had decided not to take it.So I got that, and a bottle of the 2005 Sazerac that was leftover.A week or two ago I stumbled upon a bottle of the PVWFR Rye for the first time ever, too. lovejones
I found a gift pack with the Four Roses Single Barrell...along with two cocktail glasses. I'm assuming these were issued early on. I also found a bottle of the BT Experimental Collection (Two Barrelled) and bought it. Now I have 3...but I can't pass one up when I see it. Also, I placed an order for the new George Stagg at Liquor Barn. They say it'll arrive in 3 weeks...or so. Looking forward to that.
tgriff
Nothing exciting by most standards of folks on the board , but they were new to me (i am still quite new to bourbon):Wild Turkey 101Knob CreekI will probably save the KC for a bit while I work on the WT101. CrispyCritter
I picked up my Rittenhouse 21. Can't wait to open it. I also picked up a Vya sweet vermouth, a Fee's peach bitters, and a traditional english mead. Nice haul, there. I haven't tried mead, though, and the Rittenhouse 21 hasn't shown up in the Chicago area yet. Maybe that's a good thing, though - the BIB is inexpensive, and the 80 proof is dirt frickin' cheap - and both are delicious.Peach bitters are a lovely addition to cocktails, whether they're specified in a recipe (e.g. the Flying Fish), used as a substitute for another type of bitters as in a Manhattan, or used in your own cocktail recipe.FWIW, make the Flying Fish with Plymouth gin. Mmmmmmmmmm.

jburlowski
Got the 2006 GTS, Saz, ER, and WLW. Couldn't find the TH Saz.Looks like the WLW is in the shortest supply; no matter how much I pleaded and whine they limited me toa single bottle. Store owners say they have "lots of Stagg". Nebraska
Oddly enough, I had a retailer tell me today the WLW was in short supply. This is contrary to what I had been hearing a few weeks ago.
Sijan
Five bottles of Wild Turkey 12 year old gold foil (four of them still in canisters) and a bottle of WT RR101 while visiting my girlfriend in Austin this past weekend. Unfortunately, because of the liquid restrictions on airplanes, they will remain part of my southern bunker until she moves up to DC next year.On a side note, Cooper's in Llano is generally overrated, although their ribs are great. Opie's in Spicewood has great jalapeno sausage and very good baby back ribs, but the rest of their 'cue is unimpressive. I got "the big chop" at both places, and both were dry and overcooked despite being at least 2 inches thick. The Spicewood Vineyard is also pretty decent. shaggy
More and more people are confirming the Handy is the shortest of them all. If you see it, you better get it while you can! I bought all 3 bottles from one store and the guy working the counter had trouble ringing it up. He said it wasn't in the computer yet. I told him it will never make it to the computer because all they have is going to my house!
