fitzharry
I finished off another bottle (one in a long line) of Laird's Straight Apple Brandy, Bottled in Bond, 100 proof, tonight. It turned cold for the first time tonight here in Houston, and what better way (other than good bourbon!) to celebrate cold weather than American apple brandy. This stuff is delicious. barturtle
I have been slowly working down some bottles, the first two of that group bit the dust tonight, Weller Antique and VROHH, but I'll be in KY in a couple weeks to replace them
SBOmarc
Said goodbye to a BMH 14, an ETL Gold Foil, ER SB, and a Knob Creek. Had some heavy pours with great friends. A Good Time Was Had By All!
Jazzhead
It's sayonara to my bottle of Old Forrester 2004 Birthday bourbon. It was never a favorite, though, so I probably won't replace it. I have three (one open) bottles of "regular" Old Forrester, though. I must have low-rent tastes - I like the regular expression better!
Old Lamplighter
Although not a big favorite of mine personally, and, from what I have read here it does not have many fans in general.....I will kind of miss the bottle of KY Vintage I finished this evening. In fact, my better half consumed 90% of it and loved it! Her tastes are pretty simple though......so, not a big surprise. Still, though no tear in my eye, I will miss it a bit (or perhaps I just miss not having the opportunity to try more of it!). Picked it up locally at a good price of $19.99. The only other bottle I've seen since then around these parts was $27.99.....and, I ain't paying that much for 'bought' or surplus bourbon. Virus_Of_Life
Tonight the last of 16 year cask 131 Black Maple Hill found its way into a snifter (not my usual bourbon glass) and I have to say if I was to write a top 10 whiskeys I've tasted as of now, it'd have to be on the list. I really think this BMH is phenomenol stuff and I tip my hat to Evan and Drew Kulsveen, they are doing things with the bulk whiskey they buy that IMHO, well, let's just say it is really good stuff! Old Lamplighter
Last pour of my tattered bottle of UD OGD 114; another ORVW 15 bites the dust; the wife has discovered the wonders of WTRB :smiley_acbt: and so it is now wasting away before my very eyes, and, my Stagg 05/131.8 is beginning to show wear from my egg nog experiments over the past week. 'Can I make it to Tuesday?' is now the question.
ripvanfan
Recently finished an old Squat of Rip Van 10 year purchased in the summer of 2001. I only have half a squat of the 15 year RVW left and that will be the end of my SW supply. I find it very hard to drink that stuff.
