Edward_call_me_Ed
A bottle of Blanton's Gold and a Blanton's Silver just bit the dust. There is a bottle of Blanton's Straight From the Barrel that looks like it is going to go soon, too. Probably not tonight. My Rittenhouse Rye BIB might go tonight though. EdThe Rittenhouse did bite the dust that night. Last night saw the last pour of my Blanton's Straight From the Barrel. I don't have any Blanton's in the house now. That hasn't happened in ages. I stopped by a liquor store last night, but their prices were too high on the Blanton's. They had some good prices on other bourbons, but I didn't get any. I bought a case of beer instead. I think I will check a couple of other places today. I also plan to place an order on line this evening.Ed

hookfinger
I know it's really not all that special but I tear up everytime I fifnish a bottle of AAA 10 yr. It's not available in the area so I have to stock up on my trips to KY and I'm never sure if it is just going to fade away before I get back. fitzharry
Ed:Let us know what your thoughts on the Handy are. I just bought a couple of bottles of Handy, based on the recommendations from members here, and am looking forward to trying it. My rye experience has been limited to WT101, Old Overholt, and Jim Beam Rye, but at least I've been drinking the WT101 rye since it was still in the old-style bottle and label back in the 1980s. I may be a bourbon fan, but rye helps keep my taste buds honest.Harrison

I really like it straight, but this is on high proof whiskey that I like better cut down to 100 proof or less. Be sure and tell us what you think of it.Ed
tachyonshuggy
Just polished off my first, and probably last, bottle of EW1783. Nothing really bad about it, it just had that over-before-it-starts finish that would leave me wanting more if it left me with something in the first place. But at $11 I do like the price
tritioch
Bid a fond farewell to a bottle of 2002 Saz 18 the other night. Making matters worse, the bunker was moved off-site so to speak, so all ive got on hand is a bottle of ETL. I think I need to re-think this and move to an apartment with more space. Shoes? Sheets and Towels? Dishes? Food?Priorities, man, priorities.
jburlowski
Said so long to another Lot B. Tried to replace it at several local stores and came up empty handed. Has it been discontinued or is it just in unusually short supply?

doubleblank
Yep, all the Van Winkles are in their usual short supply here too Tim. You're more likely to find a Pappy 20 or 23 than VWSR 12yo Lot B right now.Randy
