scratchline
In this month's gourmet magazine there is a very good article by the Roadfood folks, Jane and Michael Stern, on Kentucky barbecue. They close out the article with the pit master of Peak Bros. Bar-B-Que, Tony Willett, who has been working the fire since the early 70's. Now I don't know if he's any relation to the bourbon Willetts but I think further research may be in order. I propose a bourbon gathering at some future date that will include a field trip for some Willett's barbecue. You western Kentucky members might want to check out this article as it covers some of the barbecue highlights of "the barbecue trail west of Louisville along the Ohio River and south toward the Land Between the Lakes". I'm making myself hungry. -Mike
