cowdery
Whiskey River is Willie Nelson's signature bourbon, which is made by Heaven Hill. I got this photograph from the PR folks and thought some of you might enjoy it. --Chuck Cowdery
Guest **DONOTDELETE**
Thanks for the photo Chuck. John 'Hands' Roberts aka johnrobe of the forum had a bottle and a tasting, but he never did post it. JR has stumbled upon a piece of bad luck in his life. He reads but hasn't posted in quite awhile. We pray the sun shines upon him once again, and soon.Linn SpencerHave Shotglass. Will Travel. RyanStotz
I'm afraid the photo's better than the bourbon. 6 YO Heaven Hill is, well, 6 YO Heaven Hill. I love Willie, but buying a bourbon that's supposedly made to his taste is like buying a painting commissioned for Jose Feliciano.Stotz
bourbonmed
Ryan,Yep. Nice packaging, but the taste just didn't inspire. This whiskey has potential, wonder what it may taste like if aged 2, maybe 3 additional years.Omar

RyanStotz
Another two or three years couldn't hurt. Around 8 YO is when Heaven Hill starts to get interesting to me. The packaging is nice, but it's not nice enough to command the $25 per bottle they're asking for it down here. Willie's IRS debt can't still be that bad, can it?Stotz
