bourbon tasting in New Orleans

According to the Times-Picayune, Fred Noe will be speaking and tasting at Dickie Brennan's Steak House in New Orleans next Tuesday (Aug. 13)-- should any of you be close enough to go meet with Freddie. The cost is $75 which includes tasting in the bar plus a dinner to suggest pairings.

Freddie is a great guy and this would be a fun event, though lopsided since it will only include Beam products. For those of you who might not know, Fred is Booker's son and the great-grandson of Jim Beam. Fred does promotional tours for the brands.
