Vat 69

A friend of mine visited us tonight together with his wife, and they brought a bottle of VAT 69 Scotch Blend as a gift. I tried it immediatly, and found surprisingly well. I do not prefer Scotch generally. My best experiences were with JW Black Label and Chivas Regal, which are both placed in the "deluxe" category. I find JW Red nearly indrinkable.

VAT 69 is surprisingly drinkable, mellow and sweet-yes, sweet-, IMO. As for the nose, I felt a nice malty smell and not a stiff alcoholic one.

May I learn your notes about Vat 69?

Over here in Europe Vat`69 has been taken from the market just because nobody asked for it.Most of it was used as a Scotch for mixing with soda.
My advice buy some and hold on to them for some years,it will be a rarity within the near future.
