View Full Version : Hello from Northern Indiana

Hello all,

I recently learned about SB from another forum I frequent and I've really enjoyed perusing the threads here, especially to learn about bourbons I haven't tried. I'm a grad student at Notre Dame, recently transplanted from the Louisville, KY area and have thus been missing my proximity to bourbon's home state!

I think I have a decent understanding of bourbon - its origins, distillation, etc. - but would like to expand my knowledge beyond what I know now and get some tips on what to do when confronted with the bourbon section of a bottle shop. Unfortunately the selection up here is nowhere near what I was used to in Louisville, but I'll make do.

Thanks in advance for the hospitality and I look forward to spending time here!

Welcome, maskaggs. You'll find there's plenty of Hoosiers here that would love to help out as we're able. Big fan of Four Roses, here.

Thanks for the welcome, guys. As for the Go Irish - we'll be needing extra of that this Saturday, as USC is not going to be a walk in the park...
