I have been given a bottle of Brown Kaiser Bourbon that a friend found while cleaning out an old house. It has a DSP-KY-78 code on it. Can anyone tell me about this bourbon?

DSP-KY-78 is Willett, Bardstown. Currently Kentucky Bourbon Distillers.

There are some images at Whisky Paradise (http://www.whiskyparadise.com/looking_category.asp?Marca=Brown%20Kaiser&DescrizioneCategoria=Whisky%20-%20Bourbon&Startpage=Looking) - does your bottle look like
one of those?

Interesting. Very similar to the Old Fitzgerald label.

it DOES look a lot like the old fitz labels.... gotta be a connection....

Cecil mentions Brown Kaiser running the Burks Spring Distillery before it was purchased by Glenmore.

why a name like that postwar? It seems like that would help kill the brand off. Anyone have any more history on this? Did Glenmore kill the brand off before they went south?

Mostly off-topic, but I was browsing through the Whisky Paradise site and found this:

I did not realize that the Sazerac label was inspired by Cabin Still, of all things.
