Well, new to this forum, not life or good drink. Just a silly question here. Why mix a good bourbon with anything. If you are trying to get all the aroma and taste from a fine drink isn't it kind of silly to mix it with something that masks the flavor? Don't want to start arguments Just wondering.

Most people here agree with you and either take their bourbon neat or with a little water. Dilution with room temperature water cuts back the alcohol and brings out other flavors.
