I haven't seen it mentioned in the forums, and so was wondering if anyone is familiar with book by Ron Givens, 'Bourbon at Its Best', published by Emmis books. Amazon has it listed as shipping in 2-5 weeks, and the publisher's website has it listed as being available since April 2006. Does anyone know anything about this book?

Nope, but want to hear more. For one thing, who is Ron Givens?

Dan,

A Google search is surprisingly informative, even though there are hits for at least two people by that name.

At least four, judging by the first Google page. One gold contractor, one writer, one poker player and one who repairs PC:s. Of course, he could be a monument of versatility!

Anyways, "our" Givens seems to have an impeccable reputation, what with him having written about spirits in numerous "heavy" publications. Could very well be worth checking out. Thanks for the info, Kevin!

I ordered this book from Amazon many, many months ago. Shipment keeps getting pushed back (several times). Makes me wonder if this will ever see the light of day....

I also purchased the book on Amazon.com, finally cancelled it today (seven months later) after the fifth time it was delayed. I figure I might as well try to find it elsewhere. If I find somewhere that has it in stock, I will let you know.
