Blind taste test

Last night, I blind taste tested a good portion of my Bourbons (and a couple Tennessee's) that I have open, just to see what the results would be. Here is what I tasted:

Elijah Craig 18yr
Buffalo Trace
Bulleit
Evan Williams SB
Weller SR
Bookers
Gentlemen Jack
Dickel
Rittenhouse Rye

Here is how my top 3 turned out:

1. Weller SR
2. Evan Williams SB
3. Gentlemen Jack

Very surprised with the #1 finisher. Not surprised with #2 and #3.

I'm sure a lot of you have done this in the past. Were you surprised, or did it go as expected?

I am really new to bourbon and did a "pepsi challenge" with my small collection on Friday night. My wife would pour a shot while I was in the other room. I got everyone right. I tasted:

Bulleit
Makers Mark
Basil Hayden
Wild Turkey Rare Breed

On Saturday a friend gave me Evan Willams 1997 Single Barrel
On Sunday my wife got me WL Weller 107 Antique

It was a good weekend!
