Old Forester Birthday Bourbon - 08 Edition

I have not yet tried the other editions of this product, but may give it a try this year.

Dear 1870 Society Member,

One of my greatest thrills as Master Distiller of Old Forester is crafting our Old Forester Birthday Bourbon. This truly special bourbon is released each year on September 2, the birthday of Old Forester founder George Garvin Brown.

Well, I'm pleased to announce that I've selected the batch for this year's Birthday Bourbon release. And trust me, this one promises to be one of our best ever.

I haven't even tried the 07 Edition yet...cannot tear myself away from the 06!

Depending on what day it is dumped and bottled on this 2008 will be just a little shy of 13 years old. It was Barreled on Sept 6 1995. Great news there.
I'll be looking forward to this.

I'm definitely looking forward to the '08. I know not everyone is thrilled with the BBs, but I'm a big fan.

I've loved the last two OFBB's a whole lot, so I'll have to check around to see if any of the nice (soon-to-be) local joints will be getting any in, and put a hold on it if they are. If not... well, my sister lives a few blocks down from the Clark St. Binny's. :lol:
