Glad I found this site - great stuff all around. I am definitely a bourbon novice compared to what I have seen.
I have to admit that I was a strict Jack Daniels man until 5-6 years ago when I was introduced to the likes of Maker Mark and Eagle Rare. Now, I like (1) MM or Rittenhouse Rye on the rocks, in a very non-sweet Manhattan (the manhattan version of a dry martini - gin is my other drink of choice), or in a Satin Manhattan (MM, sweet vermouth, Grand Marnier and vanilla), and (2) Eagle or Black Maple Hill neat.
Now that I am seeing all the bourbons on this site with tasting notes, I am looking forward to expanding my bourbon experiences and, hopefully, touring Kentucky at some point.
