Old Weller Antique 107. It's the first "wheated" bourbon I've tried (at the suggestion of several forum members). It has grown on me. It will definitely be on my 'Buy Again" list.

Tonight I am having a little of my old standby WL Weller Special Reserve... matter of fact, I'm just about to bury this bottle. Good thing that I another in stock.

Doing a bit of studying with some 08 Stagg.

The Roots + delicious bourbon is a really great combination. I highly recommend it.

I started out with Ritt BIB, then mixed in some water to make it more palatable.

Now I'm finishing up with the ER 10/90. I'm a big fan.

Went from ER17 '08 before dinner as a reward for heavy shoveling, onto some OGD 114 followed by JTS Brown BIB in the wee hours to invite the Sandman to lay me down in slumber......warm.

Saz junior before dinner. It was the last pour out of the bottle and it tasted very much more minty than I remember from earlier and not really to my liking. Probably due to the oxidation since it had been standing untouched for some weeks. After dinner I had a WT 8 export and it tasted much better.

A little ERSB10 to cap off the night. I'm finding the current bottlings of this stuff to be really exceptional.

I like the little bit of "mustiness" one often gets from ER. This particular bottle has a bit less of it than the last few bottles I've bought, but it's really balanced. I just love this stuff. Wish they still made the 101, the current flavor profile I'm getting would be unreal at 101.

Cheers!

Back on the WLWeller Centennial Whitehouse Liquor bottle Barrel #1.

It has been open for a few days now and it has already gotten sweeter.

Which I am glad of, originally I said it was like Pappy 15, now it has more of that classic Centennial sweetness.

I don't konw!!! Emerald sent me some 50mls of supposedly WTRR101 & WT 8yr 101, but to me the first one tasted like an S-W bourbon of significant age and the other tastes like a wheater of moderate age -- I think I may be losing my mind (which has been known to happen) -- either way, I'm enjoying some kick-@$$ bourbon....let me say that again, kick-@$$!!!

I've just got confirmation that I am, indeed, crazy -- I can't believe WT used to taste like this! I'm ruined forever on current WT. :(

Tonight I am enjoying some eight year old Wild Turkey 101 that was bottled in the mid 70's. It is simply excellent.
