Buffalo Trace. Satisfying, but for some reason it is hitting me a little thin.

Trying out the AAA Ten Star after a few weeks of being open.

Tastes different tonight, when I first opened this bottle I couldn't even finish the pour. I'm not sure about buying another bottle when this is done, but now I'm ready to try some of the ten year and see how that goes.

The 10 year is very good and one of my fav low shelf pours.

Enjoying some Curtis/Hightower FRSB after squeezing in some yard work this evening.

Man, you guys picked an outstanding barrel. I'm glad I have some of this bunkered.

I had this happen with a pour of MM the other weekend and so i went onto a EC12, then a Blantons and then a JB Rye and that did it for me.

Not sure what IL exactly means by thin but I went from EC12 to a couple pours of BT and it may be the mouth feel.

EC12 is a bit more viscous than the BT, that was readily apparent when I switched.

I was quite angry at my stupidity with some school related stuff, so I'm treating myself to a bit of ORVW 10/107 with a bit of water to bring out that sweetness.

A hearty dram of Eagle Rare 17 (Fall 2008 Release). I love that "root sugar" (think Star Anise, Licorice Root, and Fennel) taste that seems so inherent in all BT rye-recipe bourbons. It pairs beautifully with a good steak, which I totally wish I could be enjoying right now...

Earlier in the week my boss announced he was moving to another venue within the company. So to say farewell we had some Mint Juleps, Pappy 20, Pappy 23 and Weller Centennial.

Not a bad night!

I know people.

I have one open and one sealed, but I don't like your chances of getting my sealed one. You are more than welcome to try my open one some time when we eventually get together for a drink!

Cheers

Scott

I don't like my chances either

We will eventually share a pour somewhere, sometime... this year? :slappin:

Wild Turkey Rare Breed on a small cube. I am in the WT mood and have surmised that the "in your face" character that the Mr. Russell produces is fine with me.
