Dramiel McHinson
Okay, I'm not proud of this as it points out a serious defect in my personality. It seems I open fast but drink slow. Also, I may suffer from adult attention deficit disorder which forces me to move on quickly leaving many tasks undone. Okay, I feel better.75 open bottles but I swear I'm going to finish a couple soon.Anyone want to help out?
Jazzhead
In my record/music room, I have one shelf where I've omitted the jazz LPs and substituted whiskey bottles. My open bottles are all on that shelf, split about fifty/fifty between scotch and bourbon. The current line-up:Scotch:1. Highland Park 10 (silk in a glass)2. Springbank 10 (similar in balance to Highland Park, but a tad peatier)3. Aberlour A'bunadh (just got this for Christmas, it tastes very close to Macallan Cask Strength)4. Glen Rothes 12 (Signatory Vintage)5. Glen Scotia 12 (gotta have all my Campelltown bases covered)6. Caperdonich 11 (Signatory Vintage)7. Ardbeg 10 (this bottle hasn't wowed me)8. Lagavulin 16 (the classic smoky Islay)9. Laphraig 15 (more balanced than the 10)Irish:1. Bushmill's 10 (a regular pour, it's liquid candy)2. Knappogue Castle 1995 (I like it because it tastes just like Bushmill's!) Bourbon:1. Sazerac 18 (awesome stuff, rarely poured but always savored)2. George T Stagg (a little too strong, if truth be told) 3. Pappy Van Winkle 15 (right now, my only open wheated bourbon)4. Wild Turkey Rye (Maryland rye, late seventies vintage)5. Wild Turkey RR 101 (my regular bourbon pour until the bunker runs dry)6. Old Grand Dad 86 (National Distillers bottle)7. Dickel No. 12 (different, and always drinkable)8. Henry McKenna's single barrel (my only open Bardstown pour)9. Rock Hill Farms (I can't stand the bottle stopper)10. I.W. Harper 15 (I was able to bunker a bunch of this, and drink it regularly as my 80 proof pour) 11. Old Forrester Birthday Bourbon (only about one shot left of this, though)

I am in the same boat here. After new years I am at the 75 mark for bourbon bottles as well... Buffalo Bill
Also in the 75-100+ bottle bracket after many years. Keeping the nitro on-hand and ready to preserve. I had a rare thing going on with Dickel's a few weeks ago but quickly tired of that Vitamin flavor. Back to the real world... open bottle of Blanton's. By the way - hey Spun - i caught that Blanton's line-up that you posted a while ago. Enough to make any man jealous... BB
