About six weeks or so ago I realized my bar was overcrowded with open bottles of bourbon (I think it was about 23 at the time). I made a concerted effort to finish off bottles and free up space.

Now I'm up to 31.... I surrender!

I don't have a lot open at once. I like to keep the circle small but go to them often.

Currently I have open;

Parker's Heritage 2007 122.6 proof

Parker's Heritage 2008 27yo

Four Roses Single Barrel Binny's #1

Old Grand-Dad 114

Old Rip Van Winkle 10/107

W L Weller Special Reserve

I think when a couple of these empty I'll open up some Stagg, WLarueW and/or a WTKS or Rare Breed.

Well, after taking a quick inventory, the totals are in. By my addition I have forty two open and sixty one in the bunker. Finally broke the 100 bottle mark. :woohoo: I also have forty 50 mls, but I don't count them. Joe

Come to think about it after I wrote the list. Its 8 rye recipe bourbon, 3 wheat recipe, 5 rye, 3 Tennessee and one corn. Pretty spread out, but I do like all kinds of American whiskey.

Well, somebody's bunker has almost doubled in less than a month, as compared to an earlier picture you posted! Well done, sir.

Ya know, I see you have a bottle of Romana Sambuca back there. I'm a big fan of that one. Good stuff.

Hey Scott, i've read great things about the out of production OC12 90, do you rate it as well?

I see you have a Jefferson's Reserve 15yo open too, are you planning on buy ing the new release with the SW juice in it too?

  • Bernheim Original Wheat whiskey
  • Pappy 23 (the last one)
  • Eagle Rare 17yo (2008)
  • Handy Saz rye (2008)
  • W.L. Weller 12yo (a private bottling from the last day of production of Old Fitzgerald/Stitzel-Weller)

The last was to note my likely last appearance at the KBF tomorrow and Saturday with something suitably unique and enjoyable. Simply, I don't have a bottle left to open that is replaceable. Thus, I open the irreplaceable ones.
