unclebunk
We're just about to have a late dinner, after which I plan to retire to my music room to listen to The Band's "Music From Big Pink." Having a dilemma as to what I should pour for the occasion: a short one of WT12 CGF followed by some WT101 or EC18 followed by some EC12. It's a cold, windy night here in Chicagoland, so a real "warmer" will be nice when I plop down in that recliner and hit the play button on the remote. Don't get much better than that. (Unless you add a small cigar.) As for me, no music tonight, but I'm having a pour of Lot B. Joe PS. Check that. My wife is watching a tv program on PBS about Tony Bennett. I told her to turn the sound up so I could here it better. A nice end to a pretty good day. p_elliott
A couple of nice hits from an EWSB 1999. This is my favorite year, since the 94. The finish of this 99 is fabulous. It's dryish, but not parching. It lasts forever. I really like EC18. This reminds me of the finish on that, but more subdued. It's on sale here. I usually don't bunker regular pours, but this one is going in.Joe you might make note of the barrel on that bottle as you might have gotten a particularly good one. The general consensus has been the 99 has not been that good of a year for the EWSB.
OscarV
Had some good ones yesterday over at Josh's.Wild Turkey Legend Single Barrel, barrel proof at around 110/112.I didn't know what to expect because I've had the Legend 101 before and I was underwhelmed. But the Legend Single Barrel is just about the best Turkey I've ever had, rich, rich deptness, classic Turkey. Also a W L Weller Centennial private bottle from the west coast, I forget the store's name. It to was a classic, I followed it with a pour of a different Centennial and it tasted watered down. And yes the smoked pork butt was great!:yum:

jburlowski
Went to the salsa competition (the tomato-based condiment; not the dance) contest at the local bar. Missed the judging but had a burger on the deck with a few WT101s.(I'm still mad that I missed last week's frog jumping contest!)

IronHead
Did a comparison of PVW 20 and JPS. Then poured the remainder of those pours together and drank it with a couple of ice cubes. They're both pretty darned good by themselves but the combination was delicious.

fishnbowljoe
I find I'm checking my stash more closely lately. I keep finding bottles that only have a pour or two left, that I somehow overlooked before. Had some Walker's Deluxe when I got home from work. Then a pour of Old Fitz BIB from 91. Both are dead soldiers now. Joe
