Jim Beam Black last night for poker. Very solid. A bourbon drinker's bourbon. I still am diggin' the new metal capsules that Beam has been utilizing these last couple of years. They have a nice feel, and nice sound to them. After cork, there my favorite topper.

Enjoyed an SW Old Fitz tasting hosted by me for me..... I had the Prime 86, BIB and 1849. I wish the OF Prime was still 90 proof.

Had my first pours from a new bottle of Rowan's Creek while watching the Phillies and Dodgers last night. Not bad at all really. It seemed to open up a bit as the night went along, or maybe my head did. Either way, each pour was better than the last, and though I probably won't hurry to pick up another bottle when this one is gone, I'll be enjoying this one through the playoffs. Does anyone know the source of this juice? Heaven Hill perhaps?

The source is unknown (or at least undisclosed) but HH would be a good guess.

Been ceaning up some near-empty bottles. Today, the last of an AAA (Party Source SB bottling). Good stuff --- I'l'l have to check to see if they still have more on the shelves.

As JB said HH is the usual suspect here. Based on my taste buds, I suspect there may be some Tom Moore and/or B-F juice in the mix in some of those KBD brands too.

Taking a flask of ER 17yr old (2008) to the Zoo Boo tonight, the kids get to trick or treat while I walk and freeze. I think I have the solution. For some reason sippin bourbon out side in the crisp air really is a treat!

I will?

When?

I switched over to Old Charter 10yo, all I can say is yummy.

I haven't had any for a few years, love the sweet corn husk nose.

The finish is a little short and watery but it'll do.

Hey Em, it's 1:16 in the afternoon in AZ, what are you doing home from work and drinking already?!?!?

The weather is absolutely wretched here. It's been raining, and cool all week. Tonight, it's 49 degrees, but feels much colder. It's a damp cold. Dank. Thick, dark, heavy clouds. A light on and off mist/drizzle. Seems like February. Depressing......I'm chilled to the bone. At least there's no wind.............

This....

Is.....

A Rye night.

Started with 2005 Saz 18, and now warming up with a 2008 T.H. Handy. Dougdog's Willett 22 yr Rye will seal the deal......Ahhhh!

Little darling, I fell that ice is slowly melting. Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear. Here comes the Sun. (Do, do, do, do.) Here comes the Sun. (Do, do, do, do.) I say it's all right. It's all right............Sunshine...on my shoulders...makes me happy!!...............If you're happy, and you know it clap your hands! Clap! Clap! If you're happy and you know it clap your hands! Clap! Clap!

This rye's amazin' stuff. :D

Its been that way here for the better part of two weeks.

I'm drinking some of the NAS OWA.

Its better than the last age stated batch, and about on par with a bottle marked (04) that I've got open.

Sorry about the weather. It went over 90 here and I'm back out by the pool with some Lot B and an ice cube cheering the Dodger win and hoping for an Angel come back win.

The kid called today and mentioned that it was in the 80's and sunny in Sacramento...which totally beats the 40's and rain here in the burgh of Cleve.

This is definitely Stagg weather, so I'm working on a pour of the 07.

I am trying to cut down on my open bottles. Right now I am trying to kill of what's left of a bottle of Blanton's. It has been open for a good while, but it is still pretty tasty.

Well, my excursion into Rye-land has brought me back to a happy JoeyWorld. So, on to something else. A solid pour of Ancient Age 100 proof BIB. If you think that AAA 10 yr is the best horse from this stable, then you have to try this. In a comparison of the two, I'll take the BIB every day of the week.

had a couple small pours of NAS OWA (if they keep this stuff tasting like this I'll be a happy puppy, this stuff is GOOD!) and now having a lil squirt of OGD BIB before heading up to bed. Grand-Dad's tasting a little grassy after the OWA....

It is already 82 out and it's not even noon. Gotta love So Cal. Starting out with some OWA (with the AS). Great day of sports ahead; Angels/Yankees, Cal/UCLA, USC/Notre Dame.

Cracked open a Weller Centennial. I'm a big fan and if I can stay away from it for a few days and let it breathe I know I'll like it even more.

So smooth!
