Started with Old FItz BIB, got tired of it half-way through and threw it in a whiskey sour recipe with a splash of OGD114. Now I'm on to ORVW 10/107. This bottle has really sucked so far. Lots of medicinal taste in it, like paint thinner and cough syrup or something. This has always been one of my favorites and I really hope this isn't how the others in my bunker taste. If I get one more like that I wouldn't buy again.

It's been a long, long Monday, but some Pappy 15 is making everything alright.

Finishing a successful evening of hunting with a pour of GTS. Damn. Sexy fiend of a whiskey this is...

I did have Rendezvous rye before dinner yesterday and EC 12 after. The rye is really something. Very, very good and not like any rye I have tasted before. The EC was also excellent and probably from the best bottle of this I have had so far.

Long day at work yesterday so came home, smoked a stogie with a beer on the front porch. Later I indulged in some of my barrel project and a '79 Early Times.

WLW 2009 before dinner and Handy 2009 and a small pour of EC 12 after. Both the antic from this year, that was the first pour out of the bottle, tasted splendid.

Trying to thin the herd and finish a few bottles off. Right now I'm working on the last of some Wasmunds Rye Spirit. This stuff is/was not very good. It's been around for quite a while, and I felt like getting drunk. The 120 proof is about the only thing it has going for it. Drink it fast enough, and with enough beer, and you really don't taste much.

Eagle Rare 101 or as I like to call it "Baby Stagg", neat.

Funny you should say "Baby Stagg" Oscar. I now have what I think is plenty of GTS. I've been thinking a little bit lately about when you mentioned that GTS cut to 101 proof is basically ER 101. I got a couple of things done around the house when I got home from work, then decided to relax with a pour of 08 GTS, cut to approximately 101 proof. Just like Campbell's Soup. Mmmm, Mmmm, Good! :yum: Thanks and Cheers! Joe

Found some '05 Elijah Craig 12 year and decided to give a bottle a try as it was $18.99 and from the year my son was born. simply superb. I have had reservations about this bourbon based on comments on this and other sites, but it was worth the gamble. I can see a bottle coming home with me every 2 weeks, till the stash is gone.

Started with a little OT 86 from 1988 and now some 7 yr Old Fitz Prime 80 proof from 1977. Both are not little drinkers with a lot a crazy good flavors for a lower proof juice....

EC 18 as I'm reading this thread.

As you can see by the number of posts I have I'm new here. Man all of the abbreviations are killing me. I need a drink just to clear my head after trying to figure out what is what.

A small pour of Buffalo Trace to start. Just a rock solid bourbon. A touch of Louisville Old Weller Original 107 proof to finish up. This is from a 200ml that I picked up a month, or so ago. With each opening, the caramel gets fatter and chewier. :yum: It really is spectacular.

WT RR Rye 90. This is only my second bottle of RR Rye.

I was gifted a bottle.......I sure wish WT bottled this stuff at 101. It lacks the punch their standard offering has.

Finally got around to pulling a FWFRR 07 "A" bottle from bunker.....nothing else necessary to stay warm on this cold winter's night.

You might want to save one of those for when your son is 21 to share with him.
