p_elliott
WT RR Rye 90. This is only my second bottle of RR Rye.I was gifted a bottle.......I sure wish WT bottled this stuff at 101. It lacks the punch their standard offering has.Your right there Brad and I'm still nursing that bottle of RR 101 you gave me Thanks again it's good stuff. theDon
You might want to save one of those for when your son is 21 to share with him. That was the plan. I would like to put back a good six pack for many special occasions like weddings and graduation from Harvard Law School and maybe when he becomes president. That's also why I bought one to test. I would hate to sit down with him when he's 21 and say, "Here son, here's a bottle of bourbon that tastes like ass, drink up!"
CorvallisCracker
Here this will help http://www.straightbourbon.com/forums/announcement.php?f=43&a=8A useful list, even for those who've been around for a while. Finally got around to pulling a FWFRR 07 "A" bottle from bunkerExcept that one ain't in there.Anyway, for me last eve was a "custom expression", a 1:1 of EC 18 and VROHH 8/86 (not a "vatting" since both are Bardstown-distilled HH juice). T Comp
Just a small pour of old label 1993 Wild Turkey Rare Breed. Tough work day tomorrow coming up.
DeanSheen
Binnys Weller 12 fresh. Needs some air.OGD 114, opened 2 days ago and much smoother today. The effect of opening these bottles drives me nuts. Sometimes I want to decant each bottle for a couple days then put it back in 375's.

nor02lei
I did have a side by of FRSB Binny´s (OESO) and EC 12 (bottled 2007) before dinner yesterday. Both were good, but the EC was defiantly better to my personal taste. This brand is defiantly uneven between batches for sure. I wonder how the Louisville version will be. The old trusty OGD 114 did work out well after dinner. There are a pre Beam version for sale on an on line auction that end on Saturday. I have not decided on a bet yet, as it seem to be a bit expansive.Leif
Luna56
Started out with a skinny pour of FR1B, having a nightcap of ERSB. Big wind and plummeting temperatures make a nice glass of bourbon a welcome distraction.Cheers!
nor02lei
I did have Rendezvous rye before dinner yesterday and Stagg 2009 after. Both were very, very good.Leif
Special Reserve
Last night I opened a PVW20, I'll have to be disciplined to make it last. I have a real soft spot for those 90 proof wheaters.
nor02lei
WTR before dinner and Rittenhouse BIB after. Both were good, but the lighter turkey seemed to hit the spot better today, despite the fact that I normally prefer the BIB.Leif
Special Reserve
After a photo shoot with my wife in the Kensington Wildlife Photo Gallery aka Kensington Metro Park during which she photographed two wild turkeys that were about 10 feet from up for about 15 minutes, the only thing I can drink is a Wild Turkey. The only open product is WT 12. Life is tough some days, isn't it.

ggilbertva
Blanton's Gold right now. For whatever reason, I really like the Blanton's at the higher proof.

Old Lamplighter
Last few nights have been pretty darn cold and now with snow & ice, the ryes have risen to the top of my daily pouring list. First & foremost, VWFRR followed closely by Ritt BIB and some Saz. Something about rye in the dead of winter....just hits the spot in a warm & stirring way that nothing else does. nblair
After a long week at work, I swung by Proof on Main on the way home for a couple pours. I looked over the list and wanted something I had never had, ended up with a Rowan's Creek. About halfway through, I saw the BTAC sitting up on the bar and was pissed I didn't see it to begin with and it wasn't on the bourbon list.My next was a 2009 Handy. It may be blasphemous to say it on this board, but I think I may like it more than the Stagg. I found the 129 proof to be just right with no water added, I got some fruit and just the right amount of sweetness in the nose and taste, then the finish went on forever. I think I might have to branch out and try more ryes after this.

If the VW was a higher proof, it would've won, but the Handy took it. I'm sure glad I have 4 more of 'em left.
