I killed a GTS 2009 this afternoon with the last dark black char pour.

Now I'm working on a Old Rip 107 watching the Olympics. This one is almost gone too, probably not to be re-purchased. It's not bad juice, I'm just not thrilled with it and this is my second bottle. I'd be just as happy with Weller 107 NAS and still have a ten spot in my wallet.

Where I am you'd still have a $15-$20 spot in your pocket. Or another Weller NAS 107 for that matter.

After a 3-day visit to my sons in Gothenburg I did take a JDSS on he train clause o my home. Than an ORVW 10/107 with he dessert after the nice meal my lady had prepared for me. I did also have some nice micro beers in Gothenburg as I always have when I visit my sons.

These all went very with with smoked pork ribs, pork loin... spinich with pork brine, some fresh tomato & garden onion salsa and chips

I am really looking forward to a day when someone will come down and drink with me... these short drinking days are a real bore

Enjoyed a couple of pours of the Party Source-selected EC18 SB. Luxuriant and chewy. That wonderful EC18 dry finish but with less oak than I've experienced in the past.

May have to bunker a couple.

Woodford is on sale this month so that's what I'm mostly drinking. Did have some Knob Creek earlier in the month for the first time in years. Originally I wasn't very impressed by it but this time it held up quite well next to my Russell's Reserve. Unfortunately having a state liquor store, they don't stock anything very unusual.

Had a great day at work for a change, especially for a Monday. :woohoo: Had a couple of small pours left in a liter of KC. I'm having a couple of KC and Cokes while working on a little project for work. While KC isn't the best sippin' whiskey, (IMHO) I forgot how good it was with a mixer. :yum: Joe

Sitting at home repairing a Saflok system for a Hilton with my good buddy BMH with the orange label. I don't remember who said it, but whoever said that this stuff smells like banana really got it right. This is most definitely banana bourbon.

The first time I had it it seemed very woody, but this time I got a better rye, oak and other good wild turkey mix. I would have thought that more time wood have made it woodier with the oxidation... but that was not the case. Good stuff...

A smidge of a pour of Evan Williams 15 yr. Watching the Olympics tonight, there is a Japanese girl who defected to Russia so she could be coached by the renowned Russian skating teacher Tamara Moskvina. She's competing in the pairs. Evan Williams 15, arguably one of the best whiskies HH offers, if not one of the best American whiskies, can only be found in Japan. Is this a whacked world, or what? This EW 15 is scrumptious. :yum:

As a last hurrah before Lent (not that I'm giving up bourbon, mind you) I'm getting into bondage tonight. Bottled-in-bondage to be specific. Started off with an Old Fitzgerald BiB and then moved on to a HH White label BiB, both on the rocks. Looks like I'll have to end the evening with what I consider the KING OF WHISKEYS: VOB BiB.

It don't get better than that, brothers & sisters.

Killed off the BS Bottle of Willett 7 yr. Very good Juice. The dog was right. As a stand alone bottle it was very good. Best of the Three BS Willetts and best of the BS bottles to date.
