Thanks! Considering that CT is not really known for gems, I am grinning. I must have called 30 plus places today with the intent of locating some Pappy 15..

one place the elderly owner said.. don't have any Pappy Van Winkle, but I have something called Old Rip Van Winkle 15 years old. $44

My mouth dropped!! When I get there I find the two Centennials, covered in dust. Never seen or heard of any of these being found in CT.

I found a relatively local place that has a nice variety of some really nice PVW!

You up and had to ruin a perfectly beautiful picture of a bottle of Pappy with Yankee garb. Ugh... ;)

Meself, I re-stocked a too quickly extinguished bottle of EWSB 2001.

Joe, it certainly did ugly it up!! That raggedy 20 year old sweatshirt fit the scene better than any other piece of attire I have.

I'll make up for it by shooting a pretty model with the 15 year soon!!

Hey Joe,

How is the 2001? I'm still finishing my 2000 bottle, and haven't had the chance to try it yet.

Thanks,

Jack

One last trip for the week.

Picked up:

Four Roses 100th anniversary

Kentucky Vintage Bourbon 17yr

Ezra B Single Barrel (never seen in CT before)

ORVW 10/107

Redbreast 12 (never had before but heard tasty things)

oh and I got some pics of a very old bottle (1917) of Burns & Co. I will post the pics in collectibles.

Today I picked up some WT decanters (all full), a Whistlepig and WTAS. A good day all around. (Decanters shown in Collectibles forum)

I picked up an ORVW 10/107 today. This is my first Van Winkle bottle. I hope I can locate some other Van Winkle expressions in my area.

Grabbed a bottle of Weller 12 at Binny's this weekend, wonderful store by the way. Also had a bottle of WT101, but that didn't make it back home. :icon_pidu:

Not having had the chance to taste any of the current Four Roses I ordered the yellow label and the small batch. Starting on the low end and if I like will probably start picking up the others.

Hey JB64, welcome aboard. I trust you will like the Van Winkle, it's up there in the top tier.

Thanks for the welcome Squire. I tried the ORVW while watching the race today. It is the best Bourbon I have ever had.
