Parkersback
who ships from KY for $2? I have a UPS Store box across the state line so I can get stuff not available in my state (can't ship alcohol to my state). Always on the lookout for good shipping prices.Party Source. I don't know the exact numbers, but basically, the with the case discount, the shipping added up to $2 per 17.99 bottle of AAA.The AAA is opening up nicely, I had some the other night. Still not awesome, but solid. The biggest thing I've been learning lately is how much it seems that a bottle being open for a few weeks changes it for the better. Parkersback
I took Hectic's advice and got myself another bottle of Weller 12. I might have got a few more, but since they had one more bottle of VWFRR (at $55), that had to come home with me instead. The folks at the store claim they can get Weller 12 anytime. I wonder about that, as I have never seen it in any other store in NYC, and I often hear about it being scarce, but they say they can get it. tehbeardman
You did good Andy. The 2010 PHC for $66 is a great price. On top of that, you'll probably love it. IMHO, it's great. :yum: Be sure and let us know what you think. Cheers! Joe
G.H.Adams
Today I made a run to the store and picked up a Tullamore Dew for the misses and a bottle of Makers Mark and Bulleit for me. Don't have a big selection here in southeast N.M. so most of the good stuff I have to order.

Special Reserve
Went looking for EWSB2000, as I haven't had it yet. But they didn't have any. They did however have Parker Heritage 10yr on sale for $66 and KCSR for $38. I could only get one, so I ended up getting the Parker. I think it's a pretty good deal. But it was a stressful decision, because it's easily the most $$ I've spent on a single bottle of booze. But in the end I think I made the right choice. -Andy You made the correct choice! You should buy more if it in your power to do so.

hectic1
Work took me to Chattanooga TN for the week and I had some time in between the end of the day and a planned dinner so a coworker and I decided to hit up a couple local stores...ended up bringing home a WTAS that I found for $47 because the box was missing...who needs the box if they plan on drinking it? I also found a handle of 04 OWA that made the trip back to Chicago in my bag as well.

gblick
Was that one of the Specs branch stores in Beaumont? No, it was Deb's (on Phelan). Jude, the store owner, is cool and threw several various 50ml bottles into my bag for free. There's another Deb's, forgot which one and which street it's on (owned by Jude's brother), that has more decanters than I've ever seen in one place (huge collection), but none of them are for sale. bourbonNOOG
Bob, was it a store over in Hixon near Northgate Mall? There are only 3 places I've every seen WTAS in town and the store over there is one of them. Also, I snagged a WTAS over there for $49.99 3-4 months ago. It did have the box and wasn't marked as clearance, but for some reason was incredibly cheap. OscarV
Got the 2011 BTEC trio and WTRB. Good score on the BTEC trio. Did you get them at the Party Source? If you don't mind me asking, how much? There is a tri on eBay for $399.00 or $132.99 each. A person could save a penny per bottle if bought seperatly.
