Ten year Old Charter-my go to bourbon in the 70's and 80's! Nice memories.

have you had the Vintage 23 yr Rye before? Trying to decide between another 21 yr or go for the 23.

Tried to score some KCSB in Montgomery county, but couldn't find it anywhere. Couldn't find any WV products either. Bah!

So I picked up some High West Rye and some Laphroiag Quarter Cask.

EV Black. Gotta agree with MA. Gotta be one of best value bourbons out there.

In one way or another, I ended up getting a few things this week.

1. A handle of Everett's Weller SR

2. Pappy 20

3. Binny's BT

4. ETL old wax top

5. ETL 90th birthday

6. 375 EW 7/90

7. 200 ml tax stamped HH

Not a bad week if I do say so myself. Cheers! Joe

Went back to McScrooge's in Knoxville, Tennessee, to purchase another bottle of their Four Roses Single Barrel private selection from Warehouse Dn, Barrel 18-3I. This is the higher priced of the two Four Roses Private Selection McScrooge's offers.. The one I had at Christmas was, well, awesome. I hope that my expectations are not too high for this second bottle. I really thought that bottle rivaled some of the best bourbon I've tasted. While it lacked the oak finishes of the older bourbons, the bold and refreshing taste with the 112 proof was a nice pour. Maybe I'm not a wheater after all!

I just finished that same bottle, you will not be disapointed. Brent can pick out some great barrels. This is my favorite bottling out of their current barrels and will not last long. tim

Great tasting notes shyster. I wish I had the ability to put my senses to paper. I rate them as great, middle, and mixer. This was a great one! tim

Any idea what yeast/mashbill this was? I'm looking at getting a four roses single barrel and wonder which one to get. Sounds like yours was delicious.

OESQ. 20% Rye and floral yeast.

Thanks! I've heard good stuff about OESQ. Interested in trying OE rather then the OB I've had a few times before.

PHC 10 yr "wheated". Retailer had a couple left on the shelf, may go back later to pick up another, when the budget allows.

Got a bottle of Col. E. H. Taylor (EHT?)

Also stopped at the Party Source and got a bottle of their Private Barrel of Abraham Bowman Virginia Rye. This is a straight rye aged for 9yrs, 10 mo, and 17 days. And at 136.4 proof. ($69.95)

Really looking forward to trying this one!

Just returned home from visiting the wife's family in Texas. Of course I had to check out a few stores while there. No dusties, but did find a few worthy bottles to bring home.

Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit - my first time trying this and I find it very good. A little hot right when I opened the bottle, but 30 minutes in the glass has really opened it up.

Picked up a couple bottles of 2010 GTS and a bottle of 2010 WLW, at reasonable prices, but also saw (and passed on) GTS & Handy at another store near the $90 mark. Am surprised to see they're still available at this time of year, but at that price, maybe not.

Stopped into a store I've visited before and found a WT RB 99.

Wonder if I missed it last time or it showed up from somewhere.
