Still tasty. Now if only the retailer could get it on the right shelf. I walked in and was pissed it wasn't where it was supposed to be. I guess you can't find good help these days.

Picked up another Vintage 21 Rye.

On order is Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition and another Four Roses Single Barrel Limited Edition 2010.

Looking at getting:

Party Source's Willett 17yr (wheated) (haven't heard much at all about this)

Four Roses (maybe OESQ or OBSK)

any opinions on these?

The PS 17 yo Willett wheater is very nice --- similar to the other similarly-aged S-W bottlings but much better than the JRPS.

Nice! I know in another thread you said it was good, and I appreciate the extra notes. I'm just gonna go ahead and get two!

Well since I was paying for shipping on a Colonel EH Taylor BiB I figured I may as well as try a couple of their single barrel selections; so I got a Weller Antique, Ancient Ancient Age and Willett 8 year on the way as well. Oh and a 23 Year Vintage Rye.

Purchsed 3 WLW 12yr, 2 ORVW 107, and 1 WAntique. The funny thing is in both places I stopped the clerk answered the phone and it was customers looking for Pappy 15.

OFBB 2008 and the new Bulleit Rye. Contrary to a lot of people on here, I'm a fan of Bulleit and I'm looking forward to trying the rye variation.

I purchased three new bottles today - all are new to me and these were more for curiosity than for bunker worthy additions:

Old Fitzgerald 1849

Early Times 354

Jim Beam Black

Last week I had to go to Harrison Arkansas for the death and funeral of my father in law. The only bright spot in the week was I knew I would return through Springdale Arkansas which is the home of Fiesta Liquors. I purchased the following:

1-4 Roses Small Batch x2

2-4 Roses Single Barrel x4

3-Eagle Rare 10 yr x1

4-Blantons Single Barrel x1

5-Bakers 7/107 x1

6-Old Charter 10 yr x1

7-Wild Turkey Rye 101 x1

8-Mellow Corn BIB x1 Mainly for shits and grins

For anyone who finds themselves in Springdale Arkansas you owe it to your self to check out Fiesta Liquors. They have a fine selection.

I was going to buy the Willett 17yr from PS and saw that shipping was $22 for 1 bottle or $31 for 12 bottles so I did what any smart consumer would do and ordered 12, got the 5% mixed case discount and only paid $9 more to ship 11 extra bottles.

I ended up buying

1- Willett 17yr

1- Willett 8 yr

1- WTKS

1- 4RSB

1- ETLSB

1- Blanton's SB

3- EWSB99

3- BT

I sent my buddy that lives in Dallas on a wild goose chase and in the end he was able to secure a bottle of George T. Stagg for me. I haven't had the pleasure of trying this bourbon before, so I'm looking forward to getting my hands on it!

It's great to have great friends!

Well it's closer to bourbon than the other sale item I was tempted by (Ardbeg Uigeadail at $59) and chose for $34 a JD single barrel, rick L-09 with bottling date of 4/30/10. A quick pour does not disappoint with its complexity and looong after taste.

After an awful day of work and finding out I will once again be given a blackberry to be on call (IT crapola) I rethought the bottle of Handy. Left work and picked it up. Softens the blow a bit.

The wife went to the store today and was in the liquor store part, and decided she wanted to surprise me. Once she started looking she realized she wasn't quite sure what to get, so she remembered me talking about Bookers, and because it came in a cool box, she got it for me :woohoo:

Virginia Gentleman (80 proofer to satisfy my curiosity)

Redbreast 12 (I know it's not bourbon, but I've heard good things about it)
