OWA 8 Year? Did you mean 7 year?

I picked up 2 bottles of the Knob Creek Reserve.. had a taste, but a cold got the best of my taste buds. :frown: will revisit as soon as taste buds start acting normal.

I forgot to mention the Four Roses small batch, and that the two bottles of Pappy had the drawstring bags (20 yr-red, 23 yr-blue).

Let's see, I ordered some Knob Creek Single Barrel, which will arrive next week. I'm also re-stocking up on Old Grand Dad since it is back on sale here ($16.95/bottle), and also grabbed a 2009 Four Roses Mariage, which I haven't opened yet.

Curiosity got the better of me. I finally bought a bottle of Virgin Bourbon 7 year as I work about 5 minutes from Alabama, which is apparently the main place it's found. Very decent stuff - rich corn/caramel nose and mid palate with a too-brief finish. Very enjoyable - a good bit better than the Heaven Hill 100 proof BiB Gold Label.

Where are the 10 and 15 year versions sold?

Went to the grocery store with my wife this morning to get a few things. As always, I had to make a pass through the liquor department. Surprise! They had the new ET 354 bourbon. I knew I said I wasn't going to buy one, but I couldn't resist. I just had to buy one. What can I say? Joe

What's the price on that 354?

And how much more is it than ET KY Whiskey?

And how does it taste?

That's 3 questions.

Is that to many?

Opps that makes 4 questions.

Five first time purchases to add to my collection today:

EC 12

EWSB 1997 (just because I've never had the 1997 before and I don't see it on the shelf very often)

AAA 10

Rittenhouse Rye BIB

PVW 23

This is my first PVW 23 purchase (I currently have the Lot B and 15 y/o open)....I hope the price I paid was worth it! I'm not sure when I'll open it - I'm almost reluctant to open it until a special occasion....any thoughts on this?

I've gone through many bottles of Pappy 15 and 20, loving every drop. I had the pleasure of having a few pours of the 23 and of course it was great, but never pulled the trigger on purchasing a bottle. I've been eying up one @$199 for sometime now and I might get it soon.

My thought is, if I do.. it will definitely wait for a very special occasion to open.. or at least until I can purchase a backup!

Picked up another EWSB 2000. This one was barrel #55. Excited to try it as I have had barrels # 652 and 989.

I wish it was $199 down here in Atlanta! Everywhere that I've been able to find the 23 year old has it listed for over $300. I told my self that if I was able to find it in the $200s, I'd pull the trigger. I finally found one in the $200s (albeit the high $200s!) and so here I am...the proud owner of his very own PVW 23!
