It was up by the twin cities...both on the WI and MN sides...those bottles came from about 3 different stores.

Got a OGD 114 to replace a dead soldier. The Van Winkle release has hit the local shelves. But all I've seen so far is Lot B and ORVW 10/107 --- so I passed (got plenty bunkered). I'd like a couple more PVW 15s if they surface.

I haven't been out hunting in a while and work sent me to the WI/MN border so I figured since I drove I'd might as well look around! :D

I ended up with 22 200ml DSP 16 Old Fitz BIB's, 6 1.75's of ND ODG 86, 1 Pyrat Pistol, 4 WTRB W-T-01-97, 2 BHC VSOF, 1 BHC Dickel, 2 375's OT 6/86 from 85, and 3 OT 6/86 from 86...all in all a good day! :D

Booker's 7 year small batch - 127.9 proof :hot:

There will be plenty of rest between reps on this power house!!

Not a lot of reviews on SB about this bourbon, hope it delivers nicely.

I was at the store buying some wine so I checked out the bourbon selection and noticed a sale tag for 1792 Ridgemont Reserve. I've never tried it before so a bottle went in the basket. I really like VOB so I'm looking forward to trying this.

Just picked up Early Times 354, today was the first time I saw it on the shelf. Just took a small sip, tastes like a spicer version of the regular early times. Its fine...could do worse for 14.00 a bottle.

I picked up a handle of Old Forester BIB from 1994 and a 2009 Old Forester Birthday. Left another handle of the OFBIB. Depending on how this handle goes, I may go back for other one in a few months.

Ancient Age 10 year. Not blown away so far, but it's OK.

I'm already looking forward to replacing it with Weller 12, which I can get for less (Weller 12 at $19, AAA at $17 + $2 shipping from KY)

I was hoping to score a dusty or two while on the road this weekend and stopped into a store with high potential. However, instead of having a bunch of old bottles, they actually had a pretty decent selection of current high end stuff.

I picked up a bottle of Pappy 15 for $55. That is about $20 cheaper than what I usually find in Bowling Green, and even then it is tough to score.

With us moving to Swaziland, Africa this summer and having limited space, this will be the one bottle I take with me.

I went hunting today, most liquor stores here seem to cater to either college students or gangstas pretty disappointing.....Until I checked out the liquor department of a new large grocery store, they had Saz 18, THH, WLW, ER 17, and even had a Pappy in a velvet bag ($203).

Since they had 3 Saz 18s and only 1 WLW that is what I bought today, once I get a check in from Colorado I'll get a Saz so I can do a side-by-side with Handy.

As I said in an other post; you guys are a bad influence!

Whoa! Swaziland!?! That's a serious relocation, hate to run off topic here with that, but why there? You should start a thread about this, it'd be cool to here why and what you think of it when you get there.

We have talked about it quite a bit in the SB chatroom, but I will go ahead and start a thread on it in next day or so.

Yup...for $19 for Weller 12 I'd be inversting some serious coin in as many bottles as they could get their hands on. The AA is ok stuff but it's certainly not Weller 12 or even OWA for that matter.

Finally after reading so much about Parkers I picked up 2 bottles of the 10yr this week. At $69 a piece I think i got a good deal. Can't wait to crack one as I've never had any.

Had a pretty successful trip around MD today. I was happy with the prices too.

2 PVW15's ($50 and $53)

GTS ($65)

ORVW 10/107 ($37 - not great, but lower than I've seen recently)

Went looking for EWSB2000, as I haven't had it yet. But they didn't have any. They did however have Parker Heritage 10yr on sale for $66 and KCSR for $38. I could only get one, so I ended up getting the Parker. I think it's a pretty good deal. But it was a stressful decision, because it's easily the most $$ I've spent on a single bottle of booze. But in the end I think I made the right choice. :D

You did good Andy. The 2010 PHC for $66 is a great price. On top of that, you'll probably love it. IMHO, it's great. :yum: Be sure and let us know what you think. Cheers! Joe
