BradleyC
I finally opened a 2010 WLW. HOt??? I don't find it that way. I find it very smooth with a tremendously long, deep, and complex finish. This bottle probably won't last long.

jcg9779
Bought my first Glencairn glasses today and my first taste in the new glass was PVW 15. Then moved on to FRSB and then High West...trying to decide what's next!Added by Edit: Went with the PHC 10 yr. I haven't had any of this in a while and forgot how good it is! The deep reddish-brown color in the glass serves as an indication to the richness of the bourbon...very tasty!

bourbonNOOG
We've been hit hard with severe storms and tornado's in the past couple of days. Long days at work, a sick child and no power for the past 3 days has let me staying at the in-laws house. They live in the heart of the bible belt and wouldn't dare think of having a drink. Luckily, I hid a flask of KCSB in the overnight bathroom caddy. Snuck out onto the porch around 11, after they had retired for the night, and had myself a pour or two. Oddly, I felt like I was in HS again, sneaking around drinking without the parents knowledge. The KCSB was oh so refreshing after a very long day. Brisko
Same reason you always bring two Baptists with you on your fishing trip.If you only bring one, he'll drink all your beer.By the way, bourbonNOOG, you've described both my in-laws, AND my parents.... Back on topic, working my way into a bottle of WT Rare Breed (03b), recent. Really loving it so far.

smokinjoe
My cold is starting to recede, so I'm getting back in the bourbon saddle with a late 70's Wild Turkey 86.8. Big and full "of the era" Turkey nose, and the lower proof is ideal for me tonight.
Parkersback
Parkersback said the same joke to me in chat but instead of a Rabbi it was Presbyterian minister. Which he is.The other one you hear alot is, "Whenever there are four Presbyterians around, you're likely to find a fifth."That I am a Presbyterian minister, but my whiskey of choice is not Scotch, is a bit of an anomaly. SMS was the big thing among some of the ministers I first worked with.Anyway, had the first pour of a new bottle of Weller 12 tonight. It's my 2nd bottle ever, and I was really pleased with it. I've been slowly making my way through a bottle of PVW15, and I'd say the Weller 12 compares favorably to it. By that I don't mean I think that the W12 is better, but it's an easier drinker that is still complex, and you can certainly spot the family resemblance to the PVW15. Tucker
Last night I diluted 2010 PHC and 2010 WLW down to about 100 proof (my sweet spot). Compared them and preferred the PHC. Gonna pick up another bottle of it today.

Josh
Self-medicating this afternoon. I figure I can take Tylenol or drink whiskey but not both without doing damage to my liver. Guess which one I'm ingesting? That's right. Geo. T. Stagg 2009. This one is not particularly dry, but it has a nice almost delicate woody finish. Hard to call anything about Stagg delicate, tho.
