hectic1
I had a long night of sports in store for me last night...Bulls/Pacers followed by the Hawks/Canucks...both of my teams won and I enjoyed some SW Old Fitz Prime from 1987 while cheering them on! SBOmarc
Numerous pours of Blanton's while out at the Iron Abbey.
jcg9779
I was kind of nervous that starting with PVW15 would make whatever I had afterwards not taste as good, but the WTRB definitely held up.I found the exact same thing. The WTRB actually followed the PVW15 very nicely.
unclebunk
Really, really enjoyed a few pours of Weller 12. It's always good but last night it hit the spot even more so than usual.
BFerguson
Nice glass of Stagg '05 tonight. Sadly it's the only one I've been able to grab. And it's nearing the end of it's long life. But let the hunt continue for the next!!
G.H.Adams
Finished off the Eagle Rare last night and am working on finishing off a bottle 4 Roses Single Barrel.

Virus_Of_Life
Last night was Rye after having some beers out. Bulleit which is pretty nice, definitely a little different and Rittenhouse 23 which is spectacular. It's a shame it doesn't get talked about hardly at all, but IMO the Ritt23 is some damn good juice.
George
A healthy pour of Weller SR.
Guest wripvanwrinkle
1 part Rittenhouse 21 to 2 Parts Whistle Pig. The result is a nose with chocolate-caramel and a subdued sweetness. It seems to finish with too much wood though. With a generous a splash of water, the nose turns to candied fruit. I can't describe the taste...but it has a thin papaya juice like quality. The contents of my glass disappeared a little too quickly.
unclebunk
Somebody brought over a "mystery" whiskey in a decanter and it sure went down well. Jack Daniels Single Barrel?
2highcal
KCSB with one ice cube. I usually do not do this or dilute any of my bourbon but this seems to be hotter than I care for and I usually find Bookers to be pretty smooth and not near as hot????? Oh well I will keep messing with it until I run out. Probably not buy again but who knows might make for some nice vattingsLike maybe a 1 to 1 of some VOB BIB what do you think? T Comp
Bourbon is always delicious but on Saturday night it is extra delicious. Had a dinner of grilled sirloin steak followed by: Old Fitz BIB DSP 16-1985, Very Rare Dowling 16 year BIB DSP 5-1953/1969, OWA-gold veined Louisville -1993, and OWA-NAS. Now I'm cutting myself off and need to start with the mustard and rub prep for the 9 slabs of ribs that will be part of the Easter dinner that follows the Easter lunch. rocky480
Decided to sample a few BIBs tonight to see how they stacked up:Evan Williams BIBOGD BIBHeaven Hill 6 YO BIBJTS Brown BIBAll were very enjoyable with the JTS Brown BIB and HH 6YO BIB striking me as being very similar, even though the JTS isn't age stated (it seemed to have more of the wood influence I pick up in the HH BIB vs. EW BIB)
RyanL
Been working hard all week and I'm done til Tuesday so I figured I might as well have a few drinks. Just had some PHC10, it really has become a favorite of mine. Going to give some Saz 18 another shot but I really havent liked it the past few times I've tried it, maybe this time will be different. Then going to finish up with some Handy and a couple beers.

Special Reserve
Last night a little pour of WT 12 Split Label watching the never ending Bruins-Habs game. This morning a little pour of the same and a little pour of WT 12 CGL.The difference between the split label at night and in the AM is far greater than the difference between the Split label and the CGL.Sadly I finished off the CGL, but thanks to the bunker there is still one on deck down the road a bit. I assume the EW was the white label?Correct. For anybody who's not in VA, EW white lable BIB is one of the best deals the state ABC has at $12.50 a bottle, when/if you can find it.
