What bourbon are you drinking? - Spring 2011

I have a friend running for Mayor and he's stopping by the house to sip some bourbon while we find out the results of the election. I am cracking a WT American Spirit for this occasion.

Had some VSOF before going out to dinner. At the resturant I was told that their "top shelf" bourbon was MM46. Not exactly what I'd consider top shelf, but it did taste very good with the lasagna.

Speaking of summer, I could use a bit of it right now. It's rainy and in the 40s right now. I'm trying to warm up with some Knob Creek with a splash of water.

Yes the last two days have been maybe the most miserable in one of the most miserable midwest springs I recall. From the 90s to the 40s on Friday has required a weekend of the cask strengths including Stagg, Weller and 4R.

I'm not real sure where this Kahns is at or who's doing the picking, but I'm telling you, this is a pretty darn tasty bottle.

I think Kahns knows what they are doing when it comes to picking barrels of Rock Hill Farms!

my son, my friend and i are sharing some w.l. weller '10, some 1990 elmer t. lee, high west double rye, and rittenhouse rye.:cool:

A vatting of 7 parts Rittenhouse rye (bonded); 2 parts Knob Creek SB; and 1 part Vintage Rye 23 years old. It's my own blend of straight whiskeys, with a depth and roundness I find appealing.
