Doing a side by side of OC 12YR and a private bottling of Jefferson's Reserves which is a 15 yr old barrel. Tastes very similar.

Tonight I am having several pours of Old Fitz BIB. I need it as our air conditioner crapped out last night and the repair man could not get to us today even though the temp reached 101.:hot:

We do have two floor fans that we are using to keep the air moving. If he does not get here tomorrow I will check into the Holiday Inn until he does. Hell it's only money.

A freshly opened Benchmark Single Barrel, while listening to the Braves on the radio. Another 1 run game. Another extra-inning game. Another low scoring game. Blew the save in the 9th, and won it in the 10th. This team is going to kill me.....

WT101 at the bar watching a friends band. Finally talked them into playing some reggae tunes. Right now they have a few Gregory Isaacs songs that sound pretty good.

When the WT101 ran dry, we switched to Makers.

A pour of PVW15. What god will give me this caramel fruit in new make without the addition of cut crab grass?

Toasting a sweep of the Marlins with a pour of the KBS Barrel of the Year 1792. Both, are proving to be more than satisfying.

Hell yeah! I toasted the sweep with a Stone IPA and now an ORVW 10/90 (as I watch the Mavericks/Heat game).

Keeping me company during the late rain delayed Yankees game and the NBA finals game is PVW 20.

Celebrating the repair of my air conditioner with some AAA 10 year old. It got up to 111 in my part of New Mexico today.

Cheers to cooling off!

I wish I could find AAA 10 in my area.

I'm glad you opened it! What do you think? (Or was it already opened and I'm misremembering things...?)

You're right, it was just cracked. I like it...it definitely has the char/wood right up front but that S-W sweetness is still heavy. Good stuff. For the money, PVW 15 is the PVW of choice. Maybe the 20 is just cut too damn much...but that might be to lighten the strength of the wood/aging.

I agree....I still prefer the PVW 15, although my PVW 20 has only been open for a couple of weeks.

Tonight I had some FC and then an ORVW 10/90 (with a couple of beers in between).

Stone IPA is great, but Ruination is my favorite. That blast of hops is insanely good!

Anyway, back on topic - did a comparison of FC and OWA for the thread elsewhere. Both very good in their own rights.

How's the head? That's a lot of sipping. This evening I am having some Old Fitz BIB. It's hitting the spot tonight.
