Last evening was a few short pours of baby Saz from Julio's current single barrel... easy to enjoy on a warm night with a short cigar...

Just a few short pours of EC18 last evening... the more I drink of this, the more I like it. The current bottles (Feb92 - March92) have been excellent..

On the road this weekend, but I brought some VRO Heaven Hill 8yo and I am enjoying a toast to the NBA champion Mavericks.

Thank you, Dirk!

Sitting in my hotel room overlooking the Ohio River (dang, that's a big river. Makes my hometown Chattahoochee look like a crick') with a generous and delicious pour of JB Black. I like what Beam is doing these days.

A small before dinner pour--Weller 12--and a small after-dinner pour--Fighting Cock.

Man, that FC is a sweet one!

I've moved to VW 12.

Parkersback, I've heard a lot about FC lately. I'm going to have to pick one up.

FWIW, I meant "sweet" in both senses. I'm beginning to wonder if this isn't sort of an archetypal bourbon: the vanilla, caramel candy thing at the front, then you get smacked by the 103 proof.

AAA 10 Star and Antique. Trying to be frugal lately, as my expensive bottles are all quite low.

This evening started with Old Charter 10 y/o. It was not what I wanted so I switched to AAA 10 y/o. Ah that's what I wanted.

OWA tonight. I can't believe this is a wheater. I would have sworn it had some rye in it. I have a higher opinion of it now than when I first opened it a couple months ago.

A few pours of a private barrel pick Four Roses OBSK at 123PF. Taken to 100PF to sip on... big, sweet, caramel and spicy....

I am having several pours of Old Fitz BIB this evening. The wife and I watched two of our younger grandchildren aged 6 and 7 for 3 hours today. Man the good Lord gives people energy at the wrong age. After riding herd on them I'm tired.

Started off the evening with pours of HH gold label BIB and white label BIB, then moved on to EWSB, and finished with OWA. It has been a tasty day.

Tonight is an ER101 Lawrenceburg night for the first 2 pours. Got the first one on my desk now :)

On a sad note, , I have just these 2 pours and a pint bottle left :(
