Went with the VSOF 12 (BHC) last night and it was absolutely superb. Will be returning to it in a few hours when I fire up the grill for the steaks.

Trying a bit of Bulleit Rye... lots of mint in this one... don't think it is going to make the regular rotation....

Out on the hammock, watching the sun go down, with a thoroughly enjoyable JD Silver Select. I've never given 2 hoots for Daniel's, in the past. But, this JDSS is top notch. Like, really Top Notch.

That's what you said about Bourbon Supreme.

Top notch, top notch!

Sipping on some Four Roses 120th after spending the day working outside.

It is hitting my sweet spot after a dinner/dessert combo of grilled marinated flank steak and banana cream pie.

Agree 100%... nothing like it available in the US IMO....

I've got one of those bottles that, no matter what I do I just can't get into it, but I keep going back.

The Party Source Four Roses OESO just doesn't talk to me. Straight, rocks, cut to 100 proof, cut to 90 proof, open in the glass for any period of time before I touch it. Nothing works.

It's kind of a bummer, but there's just nothing there for me. I wish I knew what Jay saw in it when he picked it out.

Thanks, I consider the ability a gift.

Or a curse. :searching:

Big night for me...I've moved on to ER 10/101, a Bitter American ale and out to the front steps as it's TOO FARKING HOT FOR EARLY APRIL here in Northeast Ohio. 80 was nice this afternoon, but it's not cooling off.

Currently enjoying some ER1B. This bottle has been hit or miss for me, but lately it has been quite good. With the weather being what it is, I think I may switch to rum for my last glass of the evening.

This evening I am finishing off a bottle of Four Roses Yellow Label. Then I will hit a Four Roses Single Barrel for a nightcap.

We had snow on March 30th, two days before the Tribe home opener. 72 and stormy today, mid-40's tomorrow and then actual spring temps the rest of the week.

This is a fine trio of American rye whiskey. The Old Potrero products by Anchor are very elusive and can be a little difficult to locate - especially the 15 year Hotaling's.

If you're lucky enough to come across any of these three gems, you'll appreciate the effort in seeking them out!!

Good luck if you're in pursuit of these rye whiskeys.

I've been bouncing around a few small pours, this evening. The standout has been the McScrooge's private barrel selection OESQ from Four Roses. Very candyish. In a blind tasting, I would put this in the mid-90's, for proof. Not, the 112 that this barrel came in. Makes it very "drinkable". Most definitely floral, as advertised. The floral notes are of a peachish quality, tonight. Quite good.

Had a good pour of current OGD 114. Following that up with...more OGD 114. So good. Have to start thinking about replacing this bottle soon
